Airports in small communities have a tremendous opportunity to utilize federal funds to help achieve new air service: the Small Community Air Service Development grant program. In order to access those funds, airports need to submit winning proposals. Fortunately, when it comes to winning SCASD awards for our clients, Sixel has been the nation’s leader for years. Our grant applications are compelling, thorough, and very effective—since the program’s inception in 2002, we have won $23 million. That’s 29 percent of all grant money distributed in the history of the federal program.
SCASD grants aren’t the only way airports can receive funding; several states also have grant programs available. To find out if your airport qualifies for air service promotion programs, and how you can utilize grant money to further your air service goals, contact Mark Sixel at Mark@sixelconsulting.com.
